As you may have worked out, the project is not offering free basic Y DNA tests for residents of US, but we will certainly welcome your joining us - if you would, please.

To do this, you will need to purchase a test by going to https://www.familytreedna.com/groups/riddle-2
While you are there and before you click on the JOIN button in the banner, feel free to look at anything and everything in the project.
After clicking on the JOIN, you will be taken to a new page where you are asked to purchase a test to join the project.
I recommend two tests, but the male line test is known as a YDNA test, so if that interests you, let us begin with Y67. If you are more interested in starting with the 'cousins' results, then the test to order is 'Family Finder'.
Once the results are back, Jim and I will aid you (he is the other admin).
We look forward to seeing you.
Kind regards
Gail RiddellAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07821239869190229840noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6973911285850148002.post-66003169754457591742016-02-07T02:48:02.901+00:002016-02-07T02:48:02.901+00:00My surname is Riddle, and I am trying to find my g...My surname is Riddle, and I am trying to find my genealogy, however I am not a resident of the UK but rather the US. They usually want Y-DNA as they are surname projects. The company you tested with is probably MyHeritage and you can transfer these markers both to Ysearch and FTDNA. However the 46 markers only correspond to the first 25 markers of the FTDNA panel.Maurice Gleesonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03920753459154271648noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6973911285850148002.post-24308630652278865612015-10-20T02:19:42.790+01:002015-10-20T02:19:42.790+01:00I assume they are interested in atDNA. I have an Irish relative who is now deceased, but I was able to have his YDNA tested several years ago with a company that was absorbed by ancestry.com. I had 46 markers tested which was an odd selection of markers, but the best that was available at the time. Of course, the DNA was destroyed, but his White paper trail goes back to the before 1800.Kent Jhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12356187245661856343noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6973911285850148002.post-67181377863931680692015-10-19T17:15:24.425+01:002015-10-19T17:15:24.425+01:00Visit the ISOGG free DNA test page click on your s...Visit the ISOGG free DNA test page click on your surname and contact the Admin offering the test.Maurice Gleesonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03920753459154271648noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6973911285850148002.post-41078173652511955642015-10-16T19:03:30.707+01:002015-10-16T19:03:30.707+01:00My families name is on there, but how do I get to ...My families name is on there, but how do I get to do the free testing?Robyn McLaughlinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13304343525106139388noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6973911285850148002.post-64275753138942444212015-10-07T19:40:46.214+01:002015-10-07T19:40:46.214+01:00Why the asterisk (*) besides Barry and a handful o...Why the asterisk (*) besides Barry and a handful of other surnames?
